TESTIMONIALS

What a pleasure to come to know of Modern Catholic Pilgrim! Know of my support.- Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz of the Archdiocese of Louisville

I want to thank you again for making this a reality...More of these! Please! Thank you for your witness to our Catholic faith!- Travis, Liturgical Coordinator, Basilica of St. Mary, Minneapolis, MN

Lord, may more people discover the rewards of a walking pilgrimage. And please bless Will Peterson and his efforts. Amen.- Fr. Simon Devereux, LC, Santa Clara, CA

I have enjoyed my fair share of pilgrimages to holy sites, but each has been in a different country. Through Will and Modern Catholic Pilgrim, I discovered holy sites are in my own backyard and across all nations, including ours. MCP made a pilgrimage accessible to the San Diego community and brought me closer to my now friends through a weekend set aside for Jesus, adventure, and a leap of faith.- Noreen, pilgrim to Mission San Luis Rey

Thank you, dear Pilgrims, for blessing our monastery with your presence!- Sr. Karen Mohan, VHM, Minneapolis, MN

Thank you for letting us host these amazing young men, we really enjoyed them, their love for Jesus was contagious, I'll keep praying for them. Let us know about any future pilgrimages.- Alexandra, host outside Louisville, KY

I would like to thank you for organizing such a prayerful Mission Pilgrimage. I personally felt that it was so fruitful for me in so many different ways.- Fr. Adnan Ghani, OSA, pilgrim to Mission San Luis Rey

They were an absolute pleasure to have here and I know Lonnie thought the same. The future of our Church is in good hands with young men like these answering God’s call to serve.- Lonnie, host in Mt Washington, KY

It was such a blessing to host pilgrims, to pray and eat together. They didn’t need much more than a warm meal, a warm bed, and some alone time, but what a blessing to my house and my life.- Cort, host in San Diego, CA

PILGRIMAGE AND HOSPITALITY

These are the twin focuses of our project. The Modern Catholic Pilgrim (MCP) team strives to serve the universal Church by aiding all those interested in living out their Christian Witness through an embrace of the rich traditions of pilgrimage and hospitality.

Whether you feel called to set out on pilgrimage to a holy site or to be someone who hosts those pilgrims, we want to be supportive. Please, take some time to get to know the project and consider whether you are called to work with us to spread the practice of pilgrimage and Christian hospitality here in the United States. Together, we walk the road to Emmaus side by side with the risen Christ.

PILGRIMAGES

We are working constantly to prepare pilgrims to journey on routes already developed as well as to develop new routes.

HOSPITALITY NETWORK

Our pilgrims are served by staying with fellow Christians while on the road. Consider joining our ever growing ranks of parishes and individuals willing to embrace the pilgrim and grow in faith.
