Welcome, Pilgrim!
Join Us to Deepen Faith and Build Community through Walked Pilgrimage in the Catholic Tradition
Modern Catholic Pilgrim seeks to make pilgrimage accessible and empower people to make pilgrimage in their own communities. We works independently and with partner organizations to support and offer self-led pilgrimages, one-day pilgrimages, and multi-day pilgrimages for young adults, rooted in centuries-old traditions of pilgrimage and biblical hospitality.
We are also the planning team behind the first-ever National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, an initiative of the 2024 National Eucharistic Congress and the wider National Eucharistic Revival. Learn more HERE.
PILGRIMAGE AND HOSPITALITY
These are the twin focuses of our project. The Modern Catholic Pilgrim (MCP) team strives to serve the universal Church by aiding all those interested in living out their Christian Witness through an embrace of the rich traditions of pilgrimage and hospitality.
Whether you feel called to set out on pilgrimage to a holy site or to be someone who hosts those pilgrims, we want to be supportive. Please, take some time to get to know the project and consider whether you are called to work with us to spread the practice of pilgrimage and Christian hospitality here in the United States. Together, we walk the road to Emmaus side by side with the risen Christ.

I have enjoyed my fair share of pilgrimages to holy sites, but each has been in a different country. Through Will and Modern Catholic Pilgrim, I discovered holy sites are in my own backyard and across all nations, including ours. MCP made a pilgrimage accessible to the San Diego community and brought me closer to my now friends through a weekend set aside for Jesus, adventure, and a leap of faith.- Noreen, pilgrim to Mission San Luis Rey

It was such a blessing to host pilgrims, to pray and eat together. They didn’t need much more than a warm meal, a warm bed, and some alone time, but what a blessing to my house and my life.- Cort, host in San Diego, CA
