Join us to deepen faith and build community through walked pilgrimage in the Catholic tradition.

Modern Catholic Pilgrim seeks to make pilgrimage accessible and to empower people to become pilgrims in their own communities, rooted in centuries-old traditions of pilgrimage and biblical hospitality.

We work independently and with partner organizations to support and offer self-led pilgrimages, one-day pilgrimages, and multi-day pilgrimages for young adults.

We are working constantly to prepare pilgrims to journey on routes already developed as well as to develop new routes.

PILGRIMAGE

Upcoming Pilgrimages

Our pilgrims are served by staying with fellow Christians while on the road. Consider joining our network of parishes and individuals willing to embrace the pilgrim and grow in faith.

Our pilgrims do not carry tents and sleeping bags nor rely on a support vehicle to do so, but instead trust in the generosity of hosts coordinated by MCP to receive them along the journey.

HOSPITALITY

National Eucharistic Pilgrimage

May-July 2024

We are the planning team behind the first-ever National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, an initiative of the 2024 National Eucharistic Congress and the wider National Eucharistic Revival.

ANYWHERE

I have enjoyed my fair share of pilgrimages to holy sites, but each has been in a different country. Through Will and Modern Catholic Pilgrim, I discovered holy sites are in my own backyard and across all nations, including ours. MCP made a pilgrimage accessible to the San Diego community and brought me closer to my now friends through a weekend set aside for Jesus, adventure, and a leap of faith.
