Servant of God Sister Thea Bowman

We invite all “to walk together” in celebrating the life and legacy of Venerable Augustus Tolton on the anniversary of his death. As the pilgrimage is a part of the Walking Together project, we will also pray with Servant of God Sister Thea Bowman.Both of these Black Catholics left an indelible impact on Catholicism in the United States.
Participants are welcome to join for any and all of the pilgrimage. Goodwill offerings will be collected that Saturday. A donation of $10 is suggested per adult with children and students attending for free. Donations also can be made here:

Saturday, July 9th
9:30am - Opening Prayer at Our Lady of Africa Catholic Church
10:00-11:45am - Pilgrims walk to sites associated with Fr. Tolton, including the former site of the parish he led, St. Monica's.
11:45-12:15pm - Closing Prayer
12:15-1:30pm - Food and Fellowship
