St. Anne's Pilgrimage
On July 26th, 2019, a group of pilgrims made the journey to the Basilica of St. Mary to venerate St. Anne on her feast day. MCP founder and co-founder, Will Peterson and David Cable, led in collaboration with members of the Basilica of Saint Mary.
Pilgrims enjoyed lunch together at a fellow pilgrim's home before the pilgrimage officially started at the Church of St. Anne-St. Joseph Hien at 2pm with a time for prayer before pilgrims began walking, praying, and celebrating together.
Along the way, pilgrims stopped at the Visitation Sisters' home in North Minneapolis for refreshments and prayer with the nuns.
Arriving at the Basilica around 4:15pm, the pilgrims spent time in prayer for St. Anne's feast in a church possessing a first class relic of St. Anne's set in her chapel's altar.
After the Basilica, many pilgrims shared in meal and fellowship at a volunteer's home nearby.
We had a terrific time and will definitely celebrate the feast with another pilgrimage next summer. Here's looking to 2020!
